                                         The Expedition began....
1990- In 1990, Sis. Dove responded to God’s call to the office of an Evangelist. To stand firm and                                            declare the word to all that Jesus is the only way. She received her Evangelist License from Smith                                            Chapel Church of God in Christ, Pastor, Elder Carlton Mims (he is now the Pastor and Founder of                                            Mims Chapel Church of God in Christ). Evangelist Dove began to proclaim the word of hope to the                                            lost and illustrate a more excellent way.

                                        The Harvest
1991- In 1991, Evangelist Dove, held “The Great Celebration Revival” at the Doris Miller Auditorium. This was a step of faith. She was not sure of the audience for this service but she believed God would confirm his word. Speakers were in attendance from various denominations, all preaching the word of God.

Evangelist Dove did not stop there.

1992- The year was 1992 and it was the year of Harvesting God’s vineyard.

The birth of The Church Within Christian Ministry was founded by a then, Evangelist Leeora Dove and husband, Claude Dove.

Evangelist Dove received approval to hold six Revivals at the Dolph Briscoe Prison Facility in Dilley, Texas. One of the most memorable moments at the Dolph Briscoe Unit, was after one of the revivals, the Chaplin told Evangelist Dove that some of the inmates had threaten a riot if the revival continued. But the word God reads in Isaiah 54:17, “ No weapons formed against me shall prosper”. There were over 200 inmates who attended the revival services and God sent forth his spirit in that place; and the devil was defeated. Evangelist Dove ministered at this facility until 1995. citation Banquet. The Annual Laborers Banquet continued until 1998

Evangelist Dove held revivals at the Rosewood Park Pavilion twice a year. She and some of her team would alert the community by distributing flyers of the” Soul Saving Revival”. Evangelist Dove would extend prayer when going door to door. The team would walk around the Rosewood Pavilion 7 times to consecrate the grounds. The revivals were held until 1998. Evangelist Dove was noted during her revival days by the scripture in Matthew 9:37-38 “Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest”.

To express her appreciation to the laborers who assisted her in the vineyard; Evangelist Dove would host an Annual Laborers Appreciation Banquet. The Annual Laborers Banquet continued until 1998.
The station manager of Gospel 1060AM contacted Evangelist Dove to give her an opportunity to share on the Radio. The ministry aired every Sunday at 4:30pm until 2000.

1993- In 1993, A letter of thanks for was written by Chaplin Raymond Woodruff in regards to sending The Church Within videos to the inmates of the Dolph Briscoe Unit.

1995- In 1995, The Chaplin of the Briscoe Prison Facility in Dilley, Texas; remembered the positive impact that Evangelist Dove and her team had at the facility and asked her to sign on at Alfred D. Hughes Prison Facility in Gatesville, Texas, as a Volunteer Chaplin. Evangelist Dove provided Counseling and ministered to those in Hospice Care. More than ten revivals have been held at this prison facility year to date and the Prison Ministry is a success.

Standing steadfast on God’s word and looking at the fields that were unattended, Evangelist Dove, added the Wackenhut Correctional Facility in Lockhart, Texas as part of her Ministry. At this location she alternated between the men’s and women’s unit.
